Train Exchange

The claim:

• When instructed to make an reciprocal exchange of trains with another crew outside of terminal switching limits, in through-freight service.

Required Documentation: 

• A complete copy of your federal tie-up showing both trains and MP location and time of exchange.

• Name, Employee ID and on duty time of opposing employee

REQUIRED CLAIM LANGUAGE:

Claiming 130 mile basic day for train exchange. Was called on duty for the   (train symbol) @ ­­­­­­______ hrs. At _____ hrs was instructed per Dispatcher ____ to exchange trains with Conductor ________, ID #_________, on the   (train symbol)  . Exchange took place as ordered at MP ____ at_____ hrs. Conductor___________ was short on time under the hours of service. As per section 7 of the Interdivisional Agreement, PLB 5912, case 120, award 120 and letter dated January 11, 2018, this violation constitutes a 130 mile basic day penalty.
