SENT HOME BEFORE FINISHING SHIFT
SENT HOME BECAUSE SELF OR CREW MEMBER WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE VIOLATED A RULE:
The Claim:
- If sent home prior to the close of shift for either an alleged rules violation or for being late and pay was reduced to time on duty (less than a basic day) that is in imposition of discipline without the contractual right to a hearing.
Required Documentation:
- A complete copy of your federal tie-up.
- Yardmaster/Manager name and time sent home.
- A copy of your denied non-service claim for a days pay.

CLAIM 100 MILE BASIC DAY FOR BEING INSTRUCTED BY LOCAL MANAGEMENT TO TIE UP PRIOR TO EIGHT HOURS ON DUTY. I WAS ON DUTY AT (CIRC-7 AND BOARD) FOR (JOB ID) AT (TIME) HRS ON (DATE) . AT (TIME) HRS WAS INSTRUCTED BY MANAGER (NAME) TO TIE UP THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN. THIS IS A VIOLATION OFNWD ROAD SCHEDULE RULE 2 (A) BASIC DAY: IN ALL ROAD SERVICE, EXCEPT PASSENGER SERVICE, 100 MILES OR LESS, EIGHT HOURS OR LESS (STRAIGHTAWAY OR TURNAROUND) SHALL CONSTITUTE A DAY'S WORK. MILES IN EXCESS OF 100 WILL BE PAID FOR AT THE MILEAGE RATES PROVIDED.
