A G R E E M E N T

between the

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
Northwestern District - Oregon Division

and the

UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION - C & T Divisions

With the advent of the Crew Management System (CMS), it is agreed that the various agreement provisions requiring "written" bids or applications to be submitted to the boardrooms are no longer appropriate.

Therefore, IT IS AGREED:

1. Effective April 1, 1985, all bids on bulletins and all applications which now require "written" notice shall be conducted via telephone to the CMS center in Albina.

2. All conversations will be recorded on the Master Recording Device and then again on the Bid/Application Recorder. Tapes will be preserved for 120 days and in the event of a dispute, the recorded information will be provided to the Organization upon request.

3. Monitors will display all necessary data to ensure that such application was received. Employes should check the screens periodically to verify.

4. This agreement is effective April 1, 1985, and will terminate ten days after written notice is served by either party.

Dated at Portland, Oregon this 29th day of March, 1985.
