AGREEMENT #2208030038 Between the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY for the territory Eastern District and the UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION Denver Terminal - Hostler Guaranteed Extra Board Zone 400 - Denver Hub This refers to the Organization's request to establish a separate guaranteed yard extra board for switchmen qualified as hostlers to protect designated Hostler and Hostler Helper vacancies within the Denver, Colorado Terminal: Therefore it is agreed: 1.) A Guaranteed Hostler Extra Board will be established at Denver, Colorado to protect designated hostler and hostler helper vacancies. 2.) The guarantee rate shall be 11 days per pay period at the 5-day Yard Helper rate of pay. All other conditions of the guarantee shall be governed by the provisions set forth in Article II of the Modified Crew Consist Agreement dated December 19, 1991. 3.) Employees must be qualified under the necessary training and FRA qualification requirements to occupy this extra board. 4.) Vacancies on this Extra Board will be filled by the senior qualified person with an application on file to be added to the extra board. (a). In the event there are no applications for the Extra Board, the junior qualified switchmen in the terminal will be assigned. (b) 'In the terminal' means, the junior qualified switchmen who is either unassigned, holding a regular yard foreman, helper position, or assigned to the combination switchmen/brakemen extra board headquartered within the Denver terminal. (c) If there are no junior qualified switchmen in the terminal, then the junior qualified train service employee at the location will be assigned as provided by the October 31, 1985 UTU National Agreement, Article XIII, Section 10 (c). 5.) This agreement will be effective January 16, 2002 and may be cancelled by either party upon then (10) days written notice to the other party.
