POOL FREIGHT ADJUSTMENTS, ADDING TURNS, CUTTING TURNS

between the UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION and the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD for the territory PORTLAND HUB ZONE 3 POOL FREIGHT ADJUSTMENTS Pursuant to the implementation of Portland Hub Zone 2 and 3 on April 16, 2001, Memorandum of Agreement 2407019272 became null and void. On October 17, 2001, the parties met in Pocatello, Idaho wherein the Agreement was thoroughly discussed. Accordingly, it was agreed the Agreement would be amended as follows as part of the Eastern District Agreement for application in Zone 3: ADDING TURNS TO THE POOL FREIGHT BOARD: Turns added to the pool freight boards will be added behind all turns that have arrived at the terminal prior to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) mountain time. CUTTING TURNS FROM THE POOL FREIGHT BOARDS: Pool turns will be reduced by cutting the junior employee holding a regular turn on the board, unless the local chairman advises CMS of a senior conductor with an application for his turn to be cut. No claims will be filed or progressed in application of this Agreement. This Agreement is only intended to set forth the manner in which turns should be added or subtracted from the pool freight board in Portland Hub Zone 3. This agreement shall be effective November 1, 2001, and thereafter, subject to cancellation upon 15 day written notice by either party upon the other, at which time, the procedures previously in effect will be reinstated.
