Reordering Turns Within The Same Freight Pool

Salt Lake City Hub - Zone 500

At the request of the Organization, Carrier is agreeable to allowing Conductors assigned in pool freight service in the Salt Lake City Hub to reorder their turn within the same pool under the following conditions.

1. Reordering Turns In Blue Print Freight Pools:

Within each freight pool the UTU Local Chairman will be permitted to reorder turns within the same pool with the concurrence of CMS. This will not permit Conductors to enter or leave pools but is strictly for the purpose of reordering turns. CMS will not reorder turns without authorization from the UTU Local Chairman.

It is understood the reordering of turns shall be limited to no more than two (2) times per year. The first time will be prior (July 1 st ) and the second reordering will be subsequent to (July 1st ), but not on or no later than November 15th.

The UTU Local Chairman and CMS will cooperate in timing of the reordering of turns to minimize confusion and disruption in the handling of the pools. When a pool is reordered, the turns must be at the home terminal prior to the reordering.

2. Claims/Grievances:

It is understood there will be no claims/grievances file or progressed in behalf of anyone as a result of the application of any portions of this agreement.

3. General:

This Memorandum of Agreement amends all current understandings, agreements and/or practices with respect to Conductors changing pool turns.

This Memorandum of Agreement will become effective February 9th, 2000 and may be cancelled in the future by either party serving a thirty (30) day advance written notice upon the other.

Signed this 22nd day of January, 2000.
