COMBINING ROAD AND YARD SENIORITY FOR VACATION SCHEDULING

FORMER THIRTEENTH SENIORITY DISTRICT

Under the National Vacation Agreement, employees are assigned vacation based upon the class of service (road or yard) in which the employees were working as of November 15 of the previous year. However, on the former Thirteenth Seniority District it is the desire of the parties to schedule both road and yard employees into one grouping due to the limited number of employees in such district. Therefore, the parties have agreed to the following application for scheduling vacations on the former Thirteenth Seniority District:

On November 15 of each year employees who have accrued vacation rights on the former Thirteenth Seniority District from either road or yard service will be combined into one grouping for the purpose of scheduling vacations for the ensuing year. Such employees will be scheduled vacation based on their brakeman/yardman seniority date.

This Memorandum of Agreement will become effective November 1, 1996 for scheduling 1997 vacations and will remain in effect thereafter unless canceled by either party giving the other party thirty (30) days advance written notice of its desire to so cancel this Agreement.
