YARDMEN MUST PROTECT CONDUCTOR SENIORITY
Description: United Transportation Union
Dear Sir: In the negotiations which lead to the ratification of the Seniority Zone 200 Agreement dated September 21, 1988, questions arose concerning the application of Section 5(2) of the agreement as it pertained to the employees' obligation to protect their conductor's seniority. If this accurately reflects our understanding, please indicate by signing below, returning one original to this office.

The Carrier is unable to find any language in the Zone 100 Award and modifications to the Award that would grant an employe the right to deviate from this past practice. The granting of expanded seniority rights did not alter the obligation to Should the above be in accordance with the Organization's position, please sign below and return one copy to this office.
