Modification Of Rule 58

Because of the operational needs and customer service commitments, a Combination Switch and Road Service, 50 mile zone local, assignment will be established at Valley, Nebraska to operate primarily south towards Lincoln, Nebraska in accordance with the provisions of Modification of Rule 58.

In view of the above, it is understood crews operating south out of Valley to Lincoln may do so in accordance with the agreement covenants of Rule 58 to the south yard limit of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mile Post 58.9. Crews instructed to operate beyond Mile Post 58.9 will be considered working outside the 50 mile zone and will be compensated in accordance with Section ( C ) of Rule 58.

If the foregoing meets the parties understanding on this matter, please so indicate by signing both originals, returning them to our office for further handling and distribution.

This understanding is without prejudice to the parties position and will remain in effect, unless either party serves a Ten (10) day cancellation notice upon the other.
