MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

between

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD

and

UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION (C&T)

SHELBY ZONE LOCAL

IT IS AGREED THAT:

A. Effective February 23, 1990, the "Shelby Zone Local" was bulletined to operate six (6) days per week, with a starting time of 8:00 a.m., with the on and off-duty point at Shelby, Nebraska.

A. (1) It is understood that this assignment may operate fifty (50) miles in either direction from Shelby, before incurring the 100 mile penalty for "operating outside the zone."

(2) Eastward departure point is MP 38.0, Westward departure point is MP 42.0. Employes regularly assigned to these positions will provide their own transportation, lodging and meals.

C. Employes regularly assigned to these positions will provide their own transportation, lodging and meals.

D. (1) Extra board employees that are sent to protect this job from the protecting extra board(s) will be afforded the opportunity to stay at either the Village House Lodge at Shelby, or approved lodging at Columbus.

(2) Transportation to and from Shelby will be provided for extra board employees, if requested. Extra board employes that elect to drive their personal automobiles, to protect this assignment, will be compensated at the current auto mileage rate.

(3)The Carrier will provide transportation to and from Shelby daily, if requested, for those extra board employees that elect to utilize the approved lodging at Columbus, NE.

(E)This Memorandum of Agreement may be terminated by a 30-day written notification served by either party upon the other.
