MEMORANDUM OF

AGREEMENT

#2201220109

Between the

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY

for the territory

Eastern District

and the

UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION

Pool Freight Trainmen Permitted

To Attend A Funeral - Holding Turn Second (2nd) Seniority District At the request of the Organization the Carrier is agreeable to allowing Second (2nd) District Conductors in pool freight service to hold their turn to attend a funeral under the following conditions:
Therefore It Is Agreed:

1.) A pool freight trainmen desiring to hold his/her turn must contact the designated Local Chairman for approval. If approved, the Local Chairman will advise the CMS crew dispatcher of the name of the employee and the turn I.D. to be held.

2.) If the pool turn becomes first out, the turn/position will remain first out until the employee resumes duty.

3.) It is understood an employee who is permitted to layoff under this agreement will be required to mark up for service immediately thereafter.

4.) Upon mark up and subject to call the employee will be called at the home terminal from his/her first out position. At the far terminal, the turn will be placed in the same order it was called at the home terminal. The turn will then be restored to the same relative blue print position upon tie up at the home terminal.

5.) No claims or grievances will be filed or progressed as a result of the application of this agreement.

6.) This agreement will be effective May 11, 2001 and may be cancelled by either party upon ten (10) day written notice to the other party
