PROCEDURE FOR REDUCING ASSIGNMENTS

ON THE TWELFTH SENIORITY DISTRICT

IT IS AGREED:

1. When assignments are abolished, the combination switchmen/brakemen extra board will be increased in size to accommodate the resulting displacement of personnel.

2. When it has been determined that XK12 is to be cut, the number of persons to be cut that have application on file for the Reserve Board will be placed on TR12. If there are a lesser number of personnel with applications on file for the Reserve Board than are to be cut from XK12, then a number of positions equal to the difference between the number of persons to be cut from XK12 and the number of persons with application on file for TR12 will become
available to persons who wish to exercise seniority to TR12 during the resulting displacements.

3.Cut the combination switchmen/brakemen extra board.

4. During the displacement process, any person having a bump may place themselves on TR12 until those vacant positions as outlined in Step 2 have been filled.

5. If, at the end of the displacement process, the positions as outlined in Step 2 are still vacant, the most junior persons not already assigned to TR12, equal to the number of positions still vacant, will be assigned (forced) to TR12.

6. The agreement may be terminated at any time by either party serving a 10-day written notice of termination upon the other.
