EXTRA BOARD PLACEMENT UPON TIE UP-DENVER
Description: MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT #2208019630 between the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY for the territory EASTERN DISTRICT and the UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION (CT&E) * * * * * * * * * * ITEM RULE 43(F) - DENVER COMBINATION SWITCHMAN/BRAKEMAN EXTRA BOARD Item 43 (f) of the basic schedule of agreement effective May I, I983 stipulates that the arrival time for the brakemen's extra board at Denver, Colorado determines the brakeman's position on the board. However, since this board is now a combination switchman/brakeman extra board and the fact that switchmen do 110t have an arrival time, the parties hereby agree to amend Item 43(f) to now read as follows: AS LONG AS THE DENVER EXTRA BOARD REMAINS A COMBINATION SWITCHMEN/BRAKEMEN EXTRA BOARD, EMPLOYEES WILL BE PLACED TO THE BOARD BASED UPON THEIR TIE-UP (OFF DUTY) TIME. This Memorandum of Agreement will be effective August I, 1996 and remain in effect thereafter unless cancelled by either party with a thirty (30) day advance written notice.
