RULE 20-

PILOT SERVICE

(a) When Conductor Pilots Required - Rate Of Pay: The detouring of foreign line trains and movement of light engines, when run over district, or helper engines, when run over territory where state laws require use of a pilot, shall be accompanied by a conductor, called in accordance with rules governing use of conductors. This does not apply in emergency cases at points where men, entitled to be used are not available. Through freight rates will be paid for this service. Conductor on duty in other service, and used in emergency as a pilot, will be paid not less than a minimum day as pilot, under conditions set forth in this rule, but such allowances will not be used in computing time in such other service.

(b) Brakemen Pilots: Brakemen used, as pilots will be governed by provisions of paragraph (a) of this rule.
