Description:

RULE 63. SPECIAL ROADWAY SERVICE.     Basic day, rates of pay, and overtime provisions for work train service apply to conductors or brakemen selected by the management for special roadway service, with a minimum allowance of 150 miles for each day service is performed, or held for service, including Sundays and holidays. Actual expenses not to exceed $5.00 per day will be allowed for each day service is performed, and on days when employee are released but cannot go to their home terminals and return to the point of work without encountering considerable hardship and loss of sleep, expenses will be allowed as herein provided. 

When conductors or brakemen are relieved of specia1 roadway service they will be considered the same as conductors or brakemen losing assignment through reduction in force, through no fault of their own, or displaced from assigned runs that are in effect 90 days or less, and will be governed by provisions of Rules 92(17) (a) and 92(18).
