Carrier forcing PS usage on FMLA layoff
Due to the Carrier forcing employees to utilize Paid Sick time when marking off in protected Family Medical Leave Act status, please enter the following non-service claim:
"Claiming a basic day penalty account on (DATE) I was forced to use a paid sick day concurrently with my FMLA layoff."
Proper documentation must include a work history, the work history layoff detail stating that a PS day will taken, any EAMS layoff history, and the timeslip showing the paid PS day.
